The Contenders for the Faith is a group for boys, ages 5 through 14. Contenders is similar to other scout programs. The boys work on projects to earn pins/badges that they get at the end of the year.
The boys will learn about different things each month, do various science experiments, and develop skills in leadership while making lasting friendships with other boys their age. Combined with hands on activities this group will aid them in developing good habits in their own walk with God. Contenders is a great way for boys to meet friends and have fun!
The first meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 1-2:30pm at Forest Park United Methodist Church on 23rd St. We will meet two Tuesdays of each month from 1-2:30pm. Registration is $20 and is due at sign-up.
Contenders is the brother group to GEMS for ALOF and runs during each of their meetings. Please contact Wanda to pre-register your son.
