Practical Homeschooling Workshop

As homeschooling moms, we all struggle with knowing how to best educate our children. We ask questions like, what is the best math curriculum for my child, when should my child be able to read, how much time should we spend on writing, and is it possible for middle and high school students to still love reading?

Please join us as we spend a relaxed evening covering topics such as,
  • What curriculum and books fit best with my Charlotte Mason, Classical or Unit Studies education?
  • What subjects should I be teaching to my K-3rd graders and my 4th-6th graders?
  • Why should my child and I memorize and what should we commit to memory?
  • What are living books, and how will they give my child a love for learning?
  • How can I give my child a strong Biblical education?
  • Should we spend time with other homeschoolers?
  • What are the concepts of literature that are important?
  • How can I incorporate these concepts into my language arts program?
  • How can I save money by using the books and materials already in my home and public library?

We are homeschooling moms with a desire for homeschooling students to really love to learn and be able to tackle and excel at any subject or trade in which God calls them to serve, whether it be doctor, lawyer, politician, painter, singer, carpenter, etc. We are also the directors of the Panama City Classical Conversations Foundations, Essentials and Challenge programs. Our purpose in this workshop is to help you form a plan for how to successfully educate your children at home and to see if Classical Conversations can help you accomplish your goals. You will leave with a new vision of what your homeschool can accomplish. Come join us!

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Florida Park Service has launched a new promotion, Go Play Weekday, which allows visitors pay 75¢ admission Monday through Thursday at featured state parks during promotional months. Throughout the year, Go Play Weekday specials will highlight parks in each region of the state.

The Panhandle is the first area to be highlighted in the Go Play Weekday promotion. The six featured state parks offer bluffs, beaches, trails, rivers and lakes that provide ideal locations to hike, camp, fish, ride bicycles and enjoy the cool weather.
