“Blue Moon” Rises Over CityArts Cooperative In October

CityArts Cooperative Gallery Members have been humming “Blue Moon” as they get ready to host their first gallery opening in their new location on 318 Luverne Avenue in Downtown Panama City. “Blue Moon”, an artistic envisioning of all things lunar and blue, will open on Friday, October 1, 2010 and close Sunday, October 31, 2010. Locally created watercolor, acrylic, and oil paintings as well as jewelry, pottery and photography will transport visitors into a “Blue Moon” rhapsody. A Meet the Artists Reception and extended gallery hours until 8pm on Saturday, October 16, 2010 will coincide with the CityArts “Once In A Blue Moon Block Party”.
The Meet the Artists Reception will include a special selection of music to capture the ambiance of the theme, light moon snacks, refreshments and the chance to ask the artists about their work and techniques.
CityArts Gallery Members and Directors are a diverse group of artists who offer locally inspired fine art and fine crafts. Exhibiting Directors and Members include Janice Adams, Michelle Alford, Kat Benford, Jan Bennicoff, James Cross, Wynne Dawson, Mimi Eichholz, Lew Griffin, Amatulla Hasan, Caleb McKnight, Heather Parker, and Diana Pritchard. Gallery Members staff and operate the Gallery Thursday through Sunday from 11am until 6pm.

Usborne Book Fair

Covenant Christian School’s
Usborne Book Fair!

Location: Fellowship Hall
There will be a wide range of books to choose from. In order to provide a large range of books, this will be an ORDER ONLY book fair!

The students will visit the Usborne Book Fair and bring home a WISH LIST of their favorites. Parents, you may use this as an ORDER FORM and send payment in the following day, or visit the Book Fair and shop in person. 50% of money spent will be awarded to Covenant Christian School in the form of library bound books for the library and classrooms! All books will be ordered and delivered within 3 weeks.
